Product line extension for AHSS steel

Retrofit of an annealing line to produce AHSS steel coils. Advanced high strength steels (AHSS) have a major economic significance in the automotive sector for the lightweight steel body shell construction. The project involved the change of the burners and the implementation of a new combustion model.
 
The project has significantly increased productivity of the plant.
 
In SSAB Borlänge, PRISMA has been the Main Contractor in the modernization and improvement of Heating, Soaking and Reheating sections of the Continuous Annealing Line.
